Tracey Powell, Founder and CEO of Mutare Health, has a proven track record of building successful companies, and a clear vision for how communications technology can dramatically reduce healthcare costs and improve patient outcomes. Early in his career, Tracey founded, built and sold two telecommunications companies, TelCorp and 2Confer. From those ventures was born his next company, Mutare, which today is a leading developer of unified messaging and speech-to-text technologies. Next, he founded Home Access Health Corporation (HAHC), offering the only FDA-approved at-home tests for Hepatitis C and HIV. There, he developed significant advancements in finger stick testing technology and medically directed contact center services. As Tracey’s passion grew for bringing communications technology to the challenges facing healthcare, he launched his next company Healthplace integrating emerging diagnostics and communication technologies to address unmet healthcare needs. In 2009, Tracey went on to found PinpointCare, which today is the leading cloud-based, personalized care coordination platform that securely connects  doctors with their patients, providers and the patient’s extended care team.

Michael Sorensen, President of Mutare Health, is an entrepreneurial information technology executive with over 20 years of related experience in many industries such as software development, electronic commerce, financial services, telecommunications and healthcare. Michael has a diversified background working for innovative organizations including Mutare, University of Chicago Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center and JP Morgan Chase. Michael was formerly the Chief Technology Officer at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Founder of Stage 8 systems, a secure communications start up venture founded in 2009 and acquired by Mutare in 2012. At the University of Chicago Medical Center, Michael was responsible for technology innovation, IT operations, and customer support services.
